It is that time of year again! I absolutely love spring weather and opening the windows to all of the fresh breezes! Spring gets me motivated to do "spring" cleaning and organizing. One of my major projects for this year are to get my bedrooms up to par. They have really gotten to be a mess. I have 2 dressers in my bedroom and they take up so much space. We have two closets and we can not fit all of our shoes in the closets because there is no floor space. We definitely need to get some shoe racks. Hopefully that will solve that problem! Another problem is that I store stuff all over the room. I would love to be able to place some of those organizer boxes under my bed. Right now my bed is too low for them to fit under the bed so I am planning on getting some bed risers too. These will make the bed a lot taller so we can fit the boxes under it.
I have been looking online for items to help my organizational skills. I located Stacks and Stacks in my search. They have been in business over 24 years and have lots and lots to choose from!

Head Start on My Resolutions
Wow-I am getting a great head start on my resolution to be more organized (I have been ignoring my emails from Flylady the past 2 weeks) ! Hubby took the week off and we have been getting a lot done! My stepson came over and helped us get the posts replaced on our back porch. As I was watching them remove the old posts, I was absolutely amazed that my porch was still standing! The posts we had were ROTTEN! It was really scary to know my little man was out there playing on the porch and it could have collapsed! They did a really great job on that. It was a cheap repair too! We went over on my MIL's land and got 5 cedar trees and used them as posts. So we have some really cool looking rough cedar posts on our back porch. They are going to get the front ones replaced next. What really got me though was that when I got home from grocery shopping Monday-they had the whole garage cleaned out! Well, half of it anyway. I couldn't even park my truck in the garage because of all of the crap. I am much happier now that I can park in the garage so I don;t have to get my little man out in the weather when it is cold or raining! Today, hubby helped me get the pantry cleaned out. It was gross and our resident mouse kept running across the floor because I kept moving it's hiding place. I did put out some traps so maybe I will get rid of him. So now my pantry is clean and I am working on the laundry room again-it looks so much better cuz he got his roll-around toolbox out of there. Now to figure out what I am going to put in the pantry under the shelves to put stuff in and on. One thing I know I am going to have to do is replace the baseboards in the pantry and one of the walls in the laundry room. We had termites a few years ago and have some really rotten boards. Time to call the exterminator too. But it is a great start!

Still Trying!! UUGGHHH!!
I am so not doing really good at this cleaning thing! I think back to when my house as spotless clean and dream about it being that way again. When I started working full time it all went to shit! Sorry about the language but it fits the situation here! I am making progress very slowly. My hubby is off all next week so I am going to recruit him to help me get it all in shape! It really helps to have a little help!I really need to read my Flylady emails when I get them and get up off my butt and do them right then instead of saying I will do it in a few minutes-seems like a few minutes turns into days! How are you doing on your cleaning? Me not so good!

Breaking Old Habits!
Still struggling to find the house here! I have shined my sink-a few nights. Not every night. You know it isn't easy with a 22 month old. Seems like there are always dirty dishes, clothes, floors, etc. So many toys all over the place too! I think Santa needs to overlook my house this year! Well, unless he wants to bring us a few kid movies to watch. My son has no movies to watch since I deleted Cars and Barney off of the DVR. I am still mad at myself for deleting them. Back to the subject at hand here, no my sink is not shiny right now-nor is all my laundry washed-or everything picked up. BUT like the Flylady says-we need to take baby steps. Mine are just eensy teensy weensy baby steps!!
